Abrazos Tango Festival 2026 – Terms of Service & Liability Waiver

Welcome to the Abrazos Tango Festival website. By accessing this website, purchasing tickets, or attending any Abrazos Tango Festival events (“Event”), you agree to the following Terms of Service and Liability Waiver. Please read them carefully.
1. Ticket Sales & Refund Policy
All ticket purchases are final.
Tickets are transferable to another dancer of the same role. Please contact us in advance to request a transfer. Transfers are subject to approval by the organizers.
Refunds will only be issued in the case of event cancellation by the organizers.
2. Assumption of Risk & Event Participation
Participation in dance classes, workshops, milongas, performances, and related activities involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, falls, collisions, or physical strain.
By attending, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, that may occur as a result of your participation.
You agree to follow all safety guidelines and to participate in a way that respects your own physical limits and the safety of others.
3. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release and hold harmless Abrazos Tango Festival, Dance Tango NYC, its organizers, instructors, DJs, performers, volunteers, venue owners, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, illness, damage, or loss incurred in connection with the Event.
4. Personal Responsibility & Health
You confirm that you are physically able to participate in dance activities and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation.
You agree to take full responsibility for your well-being and to stop or modify participation if necessary.
You acknowledge that attending a group event carries a risk of exposure to communicable illnesses and agree to assume this risk.
5. Code of Conduct
We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all dancers.
Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the Event without refund if their behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with community standards.
6. Photography & Videography Release
By attending the Event, you grant permission to be photographed and filmed by Abrazos Tango Festival and its representatives.
You agree that these images and videos may be used for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes, including on websites, social media, and future event materials.
If you prefer not to appear in media, you must notify us in writing prior to the Event. While we will make reasonable efforts to respect your request, we cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all media.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, videos, and logos, is the property of Abrazos Tango Festival or its respective creators and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
8. Changes to Programming
The festival schedule, instructors, DJs, and venues are subject to change.
We reserve the right to make adjustments to the program as needed while maintaining the overall quality and integrity of the Event.
9. Personal Property
You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times.
Abrazos Tango Festival and its affiliates are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items during the Event.
10. Payments & Chargebacks
By purchasing a ticket, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to attempt resolution.
Unauthorized chargebacks may result in denial of entry to the Event and/or future events.
11. Force Majeure
Abrazos Tango Festival shall not be held liable for any delay, modification, or cancellation of the Event due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, travel disruptions, or venue issues.
In such cases, refunds or credits will be issued at the discretion of the organizers.
12. Minors
The Event is intended for adults. Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian and may be subject to additional requirements.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites and encourage you to review their terms independently.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
